SQR in PeopleSoft and Other Applications
Galina and Vlad Landres

1999 | 600 pages
ISBN: 1884777775
$59.95 Softbound print book

DESCRIPTION

SQR is a programming language combining the power of SQL queries, the sophistication of procedural logic, and the freedom of multiple-platform development. This unique combination liberates developers from the constraints of SQL and allows them to concentrate on the application aspects of their programs. SQR has become increasingly popular since PeopleSoft selected this language as its main SQL processing and reporting tool.

SQR in PeopleSoft and Other Applications covers all SQR language elements and features and shows the best ways of utilizing SQR's capabilities. The book is presented in tutorial style; it starts from the basics and progresses gradually to complex topics. More than a hundred realistic examples are provided along the way, and various approaches are discussed for each problem.

SQR in PeopleSoft and Other Applications consists of two major parts. Part I is a complete description of the SQR language and all of its features; Part 2 covers all aspects of the interaction between SQR programs and PeopleSoft. Therefore, the book a working manual for both SQR programmers and PeopleSoft developers.

SQR in PeopleSoft and Other Applications covers PeopleSoft version 7.5 and SQR versions up to 4.2.3. It also highlights the differences between versions 3.x and 4.x.
