Java XML Programming
Nazmul Idris

1999 | 300 pages
ISBN: 188477783X
$47.95 Softbound print book Out of print (?)

DESCRIPTION

Java XML Programming is for programmers who are interested in creating Java-based application servers, client applications, and web-based applications that make use of XML information.

This is not a book on how to use XML as an HTML replacement, and it is not a book on the XML 1.0 W3C Recommendation itself. Instead, Java XML Programming shows the programmer how to use XML by including plenty of real-world Java code examples that use XML. For example, the book reveals how to use the W3C DOM API with these APIs:

  • the Swing API
  • the Servlet API
  • the JDBC API
There is also code that demonstrates how all of these APIs can be used together to create truly useful Java XML programs.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR...

Nazmul Idris is president of The Bean Factory, LLC, and been working on plaform independent, distributed computing with Java2, Servlets, RMI, and Swing for a long time. He has recently started using Java and XML in all his projects and is committed to finding interesting and real-world uses for this technology.
